(Seoul = News1) Reporter Hwang Mi-hyun = The group Dreamcatcher showed off their global presence with the successful conclusion of their world tour.
Between the 28th of last month to the 20th of July, Dreamcatcher (JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, Gahyeon) held the ‘2022 Dreamcatcher World Tour [Apocalypse: Save Us] in America’. Starting in New York and continuing on to include 8 US cities – Reading, Louisville, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and LA – as well as Mexico city, they communicated with the local fans of 9 cities in 10 shows.
In particular, the LA stop was initially only planned to have 1 show, on the 17th. However, with the tickets selling out immediately upon launch, they added another show for the 16th. Thanks to such passionate support, they held a fansign in LA on the 15th, giving fans an even more special experience.
The tickets sold out not only for LA, but also for New York, Louisville, San Francisco, LA and Mexico City. Overall, 92% of all available tickets were purchased, showcasing the group’s global popularity.
In the LA and Mexico City shows that concluded their tour, Dreamcatcher overpowered the audience right from the beginning, starting off with “Intro: Save Us” and performing “MAISON”, the title track of their 2nd studio album, “Apocalypse: Save Us”.
After successfully concluding the world tour, Dreamcatcher expressed their heartfelt joy, stating “Finally, after 2 years, we successfully finished the US tour and the Mexico show.” “We are happy to have safely wrapped up a world tour with all our members, and felt glad to meet InSomnias directly after only being able to see them on online concerts or video calls.” They went on to say that “We were able to feel the genuine concert heat throughout because the audience played and enjoyed the shows with us,” adding that “We want to thank the InSomnias who enjoy Dreamcatcher’s music for what it is.”
