The unfolding of the second chapter of “Apocalypse,” which follows “MAISON”. First, “Save us,” then “Follow Us”.
Six months after the release of “MAISON” from “Apocalypse: Save us” in April 2022, Dreamcatcher’s seventh mini album is a continuation of the previous full-length 2nd album and introduces the second act of the Apocalypse worldview. Dreamcatcher, who once cried out for the burning Earth, “Save us and Save Earth”, is now warning and confronting the main culprits who are destroying the Earth. Dreamcatcher however shows a more peaceful path because the conflict increased the Earth’s suffering, contrary of what they intended to do.
A firm determination to journey along together (“Follow Us”). The storm’s dazzling eye, the burning hot Earth, and the moon that will eventually swallow us with rising water. With natural calamities breaking records every year, everything is coming to an end, but we stood in line wishing for serenity.
In between continuous crushing despair and crumbling hope, seven people stand, leading towards the faint light. And then there’s us standing behind them. Dreamcatcher’s desperate call, persuasion, and firm “VISION” to bring back the star of life.
The title track of the 7th mini album “VISION”, signifying the upcoming future, is a song that expresses the belief of Dreamcatcher following the previous full-length album. Based on the Dark Techno genre, the title song has extra richness with the addition of electronic sounds, and the participation of June One, a member of the electronic band Glen Check, enhanced its completeness and also strengthened the lyrics and performance.
In addition, the B-sides consisting of “Fairytale,” “Some Love,” and “When the Rain Stops (Rainy Day)” display Dreamcatcher’s unique musicality in a variety of ways.
