30 Jan 2021: Dreamcatcher, breaks their own record with over 60,000 sales of their new album in just 3 days
Dreamcatcher has broken their own best record.
According to Dreamcatcher Company, on the morning of January 30th, Dreamcatcher’s 6th mini-album ‘Dystopia : Road to Utopia’ has surpassed 60,0000 sales on the Hanteo Chart within only three days of their comeback. Since the first day of release, it surpassed the sales of their previous album by about twice as much.
‘Dystopia : Road to Utopia’ is still breaking its own record. At the time of release, it climbed to the top of the iTunes charts in 16 different countries, ranked 1st on the worldwide album chart, and swept all of the top 5 spots on the Bugs chart locally in Korea.
It was also met with enthusiastic responses online. The music video for ‘Odd Eye’ has exceeded 9.7 million views on YouTube and is closely approaching 10 million while also achieving great success as it entered the top trending popular videos in more than 30 countries, including Korea.
‘Dystopia : Road to Utopia’ details Dreamcatcher’s adventure as they dream of utopia. As it expands their existing ‘Dystopia’ fictional world, it set the scene to show the tragic, two-faced ‘utopia’ through Dreamcatcher’s eyes.
Including the title track ‘Odd Eye’, ‘Dystopia : Road to Utopia’ also includes various tracks of different genres, such as ‘Wind Blows’, ‘Poison Love’, ‘4 Memory’, and ‘New Days’. ‘Odd Eye’ is a title song of the Nu Metal genre that combines a powerful rock sound with hip-hop elements. It details the story of their new mini-album, which tells of a deep and strong will to once again move forward towards a true utopia.
Meanwhile, Dreamcatcher is set to perform their title song ‘Odd Eye’ on the afternoon of the 30th on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’.
