HOW TO CREATE A BUGS ACCOUNT

**IMPORTANT NOTES**

  • Do NOT create more than 6 IDs per IP, otherwise your accounts may be blocked.
    Change your IP every 6 accounts, this includes every device in your home wifi.
  • You can only verify up until 3 (three) accounts per PHONE NUMBER.
  • You will need a Google Play account to purchase the pass on android.
  • You will need to change your app store location to South Korea before you can download the app on iOS.

HOW TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT (Android Users)

1. Download the app

Once downloaded, open the app and click on the gear icon at the top right corner

2. click “login/sign up” at the top of the page

3. click “sign up for bugs account” at the bottom of the page

4. click “register with email”

5. enter your information. Please note the password needs to be min. 6 and max. 20 characters, and contain a number and min. 2 special characters. Your date of birth should be entered as YYYYMMDD (example 20120814 = 14 august 2012)

6. Select your country and enter your phone number. Please note your country will be listed in Korean. If you don’t know how it’s written, you can use papago (or another translator) to find out. Once you’ve entered your number, click the grey ‘confirmation’ box.

7. A pop-up box will appear to confirm a message has been sent to your phone number

8. Please insert the correct code and click the grey box to confirm (you can ask for a code to be sent again if necessary). Ensure all the boxes are selected, and complete your sign up by clicking the orange box at the bottom. (Please see end of this page if you receive an error while completing the registration)

9. Your sign up is complete! You can now buy or redeem a bugs pass and start streaming!

HOW TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT (iOS Users)

For iOS users, you will need to change your App Store location to South Korea (Korea, republic of).
Please note you might lose your ongoing subscriptions! Alternatively you can also create a new ID and select South Korea as location.

Please see our guide on how to change your App Store location here if you have not yet done this.

1. After the location of your App store has been changed, open your App Store (if you see Korean words or ads, then you have successfully changed your App Store location to Korea). Go to Search tab on the bottom right, and search for Bugs.

2. Click ‘Download/Get’. You should have the Bugs app now

 

3. After the Bugs app has completed downloading, open it and click the 3 dots on the top right corner

4. Click “login/register”

5. Click “Bugs registration” on the bottom left to register through email (If you have Facebook or Apple accounts, you can try logging in through those 2 options available as well). Click “register with email”

6. Complete your information. Please note the password needs to be min. 6 and max. 20 characters, and contain number and min. 2 special characters. Your date of birth should be entered as YYYYMMDD (example 20120814 = 14 august 2012). Your country’s name will be written in Korean, if you don’t know how it’s written you can use papago (or another translator) to find out.

7. After entering your phone number, please click the “send code” box to verify it.

8. Please insert the correct code and click the grey box to confirm (you can ask for a code to be sent again if necessary). Ensure all the boxes are selected, and complete your sign up by clicking “confirm registration” at the bottom. Click “confirm” on the pop-up that appears after.

9. Your sign up is complete! You can now buy or redeem a bugs pass and start streaming!

POSSIBLE ERRORS DURING SIGN UP

A. if you receive the below error pop-up, it means your phone number has not been confirmed.

B. if you receive the below error pop-up, it means your password does not meet the requirements.
Your password must be a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers and at least 2 special characters (! @ # $ % ^ & * ? _ ~). Your password should be between 6-20 letters and blank spaces are not allowed.

C. if you receive the below error pop-up, it means the time to enter your phone verification code has run out. Please request a new code and verify within the given timeframe (you should see a countdown)
